‘What was it like being married to your brother?’ Nancy Mace gets in epic congressional catfight with Ilhan Omar

‘Please restrain from drinking too much as you have been warned from your staff and stay off social media when you are drunk’

U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., has established a solid reputation as a firebrand in Congress and certainly didn’t drop her agenda when President Donald Trump over the weekend authorized a series of attacks on the rogue, and threatening, Islamic regime in Iran that included the demise of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

She sent condolences, via social media, to two Muslims in Congress, and when Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., a Somali immigrant representing a Somali immigrant majority district, lashed out by accusing Mace of being drunk, Mace jumped straight to the end of the argument, expressing a desire to denaturalize and deport Omar, and question her, “What was it like being married to your brother?”

Here’s Mace’s comments about her hopes for Omar:

She had started out with a statement of condolence, whether sincere or not:

Omar responded with some harsh, and unsubstantiated claims:

“I hope you aren’t drunk and took your staff’s advice, Rashida and I don’t know this man and feel confident he didn’t care about us. Please restrain from drinking too much as you have been warned from your staff and stay off social media when you are drunk. I pray in his (sic) holy month you find peace and respect for your self.”

Her holy month reference was to Ramadan, which Muslims are observing at this time.

Mace’s showstopper followed:

“So tell me, what was it like being married to your brother?”

She cited allegations, supported by evidence, that Omar at one point a few years ago married her brother to give him legal standing to remain in the United States.

The facts are suggestive, but not definitive, in the case, as the family records in Somalia are not such that they can be searched and such claims documented. But federal officials have confirmed there are questions about exactly what occurred.

The Gateway Pundit commented that the exchange was “EPIC!”

The commentary said, “Following a heated exchange, Mace appeared on NewsMax with Ed Henry, where she responded to Ilhan Omar’s frustration that the attack occurred during Ramadan. ‘I don’t give a damn if it’s Ramadan. I don’t care if Muslims are fasting right now,’ Mace said. ‘This was the right time with the right Intel, the right President, to go in there and do this. I’m ready to denaturalize and deport her to Somalia.'”
