Earlier in the day, the Kremlin said that the conversation between Putin and Trump was “frank and constructive” and that it had lasted about an hour.
The focus of the conversation was on the situation regarding the conflict with Iran and the bilateral negotiations underway with American representatives to reach a solution with Ukraine, said Putin’s adviser Yuri Ushakov, state-controlled Russian news agencies reported.
According to Ushakov, Putin raised some proposals to achieve “a quick political and diplomatic solution” after earlier talking with leaders of the Gulf states and the president of Iran. Trump and Putin also touched on Venezuela, given “the current situation on the global oil market.”
