Early Saturday morning, a man named Vance Luther Boelter, 57, posing as a police officer in Minnesota, visited the homes of two different Democrat politicians where he opened fire on one husband and wife, killing them at the scene, and critically wounded another couple as well.

Politicians Were Targeted

Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL) Speaker and Minnesota State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband lost their lives when they answered the door, thinking it was an officer. State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife did the same and are now fighting for their lives after being shot five or six times.

The shooter went after Hoffman first at about 2 a.m. in Champlin and then took out Hortman at about 4 a.m. at her Brooklyn Park residence. Hortman has two children. Their golden retriever was also shot, according to Mint.

A shootout with police occurred at Hortman’s home after the murder, but Boelter got away, slipping out the back door. Police described the shooter as a white male with brown hair, wearing black body armor over a blue shirt and blue pants. He was driving a fake patrol car. He is still being sought by police.

Hortman had just sided with Republicans voting in favor of repealing taxpayer healthcare for illegal aliens. That fateful vote may very well have been what caused the shooting on the day of the “No Kings” protests.

Shooter Appointed by Walz

According to the New York Post, Walz appointed the shooter in 2019 to serve a four-year stint on the Governor’s Workforce Development Board. Boelter also served on the Workforce Development Council in 2016 under then-Gov. Mark Dayton.

The New York Post noted, “Despite being a Dem aide, he last registered to vote in 2004, as a Republican.”

He also served as Director of Security Patrols for a private firm using police-style vehicles.

According to Fox News, “Boelter is reportedly the CEO of Red Lion Group, based in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Praetorian Guard Security Services, according to Minnesota Africans United’s website.”

Walz commented on the shootings on X, blasting what he called “targeted attacks” that he said were politically motivated in a not-so-subtle swipe at Republicans. He activated the State Emergency Operations Center as police launched an urgent manhunt.

It should be noted that Walz has deep ties to the Chinese Communist Party, Islamic-aligned radical groups, and socialist power networks that openly push revolutionary politics.

Politically Motivated

The only thing missing from the violent anti-ICE riots spreading across the country and the potentially chaotic “No Kings” protests that seem to be everywhere was a martyr on the Left like George Floyd. Immediately after the shootings, the “No Kings” protests in Minnesota were canceled, and the Left began blaming conservatives and President Trump, adding the missing ingredient to their “Summer of Love – the Sequel.”

As has been the case in most of these violent acts, the one to blame is actually a radical on the Left, not the Right.

An extensive manhunt involving the local police, sheriff’s deputies, and the FBI has been launched, but Boelter is still at large. SWAT teams were seen canvassing the neighborhood where the shootings took place. Residents have been warned to only open their doors if two police officers come knocking, not one.

Brooklyn Park Police Chief Mark Bruley reported that the shooter’s car had a manifesto in it along with a list of targets, including both lawmakers, and flyers touting the “No Kings” rally to be held Saturday, according to the Daily Mail.

President Trump was apprised of the shootings: “I have been briefed on the terrible shooting that took place in Minnesota, which appears to be a targeted attack against State Lawmakers.”

“Our Attorney General, Pam Bondi, and the FBI, are investigating the situation, and they will be prosecuting anyone involved to the fullest extent of the law. Such horrific violence will not be tolerated in the United States of America. God Bless the great people of Minnesota, a truly great place!” Trump added.
