Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that approximately 300 foreign “lunatic” students have had their visas yanked during President Trump’s illegal immigration crackdown. He made the statement during a press conference in Guyana on Thursday.
“Maybe more, it might be more than 300 at this point,” Rubio claimed, making it abundantly clear that he hopes that number grows with time. “We do it every day. Every time I find one of these lunatics, I take away their visa.”
“I hope at some point we run out because we have gotten rid of all of them, but we’re looking every day for these lunatics that are tearing things up,” he asserted.
President Trump issued an executive order on January 20th that makes this policy crystal clear:
It is the policy of the United States to protect its citizens from aliens who intend to commit terrorist attacks, threaten our national security, espouse hateful ideology, or otherwise exploit the immigration laws for malevolent purposes.
Rubio Comments Concerning Rumeysa Ozturk
Rubio commented on visas in response to questions by Politico asking about “a Tufts University doctoral student and Fulbright scholar from Turkey who had her student visa revoked this week,” named Rumeysa Ozturk.
“A viral video reposted online by officials from the State Department showed Ozturk, who co-wrote an op-ed in a student newspaper criticizing Tufts’ response to the protests — being detained on the street by plainclothes Immigration and Customs Enforcement near the Tufts campus,” Politico reported.
She wrote the op-ed a year ago, and the Left is disingenuously spinning it that she was arrested for writing it. No… she wasn’t. She was arrested for inciting violence against Israel and other terrorist acts, as well as her visa having expired.
Visas Will be Revoked
Rubio made it evident how the United States is approaching the issue and how he personally feels about removing those who pose a threat to America, “I don’t care what movement you’re involved in, why would any country in the world allow people to come and disrupt? We gave you a visa to come and study and get a degree, not to become a social activist.”
“If you invite me into your home because I say, ‘Oh, I want to go to your house for dinner,’ and I come into your house and I start putting mud on your couch and spray-painting your kitchen, I bet you you’re going to kick me out,” Rubio told reporters.
Rubio also said that “every country in the world has a right to decide who comes in as a visitor and who doesn’t.”
“I encourage every country to do that, by the way, because I think it’s crazy to invite students into your country that are coming onto your campus and destabilizing it,” he said. “We’re just not going to have it.
“We’ll revoke your visa, and once your visa is revoked, you’re illegally in the country and you have to leave,” Rubio insisted.
On a plane returning to DC, Rubio told reporters that the revoked visas were a combination of student and visitor visas. He also emphasized that he signed every single one of them personally.
Yet Another Radical Scholar Gets the Heave-ho Treatment
Concerning Ozturk, Rubio was blunt about the Turkish scholar having her visa revoked. He claimed that her actions were equivalent to those who “vandalize universities, harass students, take over buildings, [and] create a ruckus,” according to Fox News.
The radical scholar was detained Tuesday evening in Somerville, MA, by masked and plainclothes agents Reuters reported.
The op-ed never specifically mentioned Hamas, but it did call for the university to divest from companies that have ties to Israel and to admit there is a Palestinian genocide going on, so it might as well have. She has repeatedly espoused those beliefs in an effort to gin up radical actions against Israel.
Fox News stated that “The Department of Homeland Security said it had found Ozturk to have ‘engaged in activities in support of Hamas,’ though it has not publicly released the evidence behind that determination.”
This is a Terroristic Threat Issue
Leftists are screaming that Trump and Rubio are violating free speech in the United States.
Rubio does not see it that way in the least and many, many Americans agree with him.
“The people that we’re getting rid of in our country are vandalizing, they’re not protesters. They’re taking over college campuses. They’re harassing fellow students… They’re not demonstrating, they’re going beyond demonstration,” Rubio stated at a press conference in Suriname. “We want them out. Every one of them I find, we’re going to kick them out.”
Iranian Alireza Doroudi is Also Arrested
Ozturk’s detainment came at roughly the same time as a University of Alabama mechanical engineering doctoral student from Iran who was arrested by immigration authorities on Tuesday. They claim he poses a national security threat. Iran is incensed over the move.
Alireza Doroudi was in the U.S. on an F-1 student visa. He arrived in January of 2023 and was given a visa after “clearing all immigration checks,” according to The Crimson White. His visa has now been revoked. It is unclear why at this point.
“ICE HSI made this arrest in accordance with the State Department’s revocation of Doroudi’s student visa,” a spokesperson for DHS said. “This individual posed significant national security concerns.”
All of This Follows the Detainment of Mahmoud Khalil
Of course, the ball got rolling on all this with Mahmoud Khalil, a Columbia University student and “permanent resident” accused of entering the U.S. on fraudulent terms.
He failed to disclose that he had worked for the Syria office of the British Embassy in Beirut and that he was a member of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
UNRWA is connected to Hamas and the Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attacks in Israel that slaughtered over 1,200 people. Horrific murders, rapes, and kidnappings also took place and it has been reported that 12 members of the agency took part in it.
Get Strapped In… This is Only the Beginning
Rubio is just getting warmed up. There are hundreds of thousands of foreign students here on visas, and if they are smack-talking support for terrorists and spewing anti-Semitism, they are going to be fair game.
He has made it clear: anyone found inciting violence or supporting terrorist movements will be removed without hesitation. And rightfully so. There is no place in America for foreign agitators exploiting our hospitality.
