As the United States is poised for regime change in Iran, Mexico has just exploded in violence after the infamous cartel leader known as “El Mencho” died in custody on Sunday during a joint operation between the Mexican military and the US. The hellish apocalyptic violence that has ensued is spreading across the country, and Americans are being told to shelter in place.

Terrorism explodes across Mexico
According to the New York Post, at least 20 of Mexico’s 31 states have been rocked by violent clashes after the nation’s most wanted man, Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, took a dirt nap. He was the head of the vicious Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). His death leaves a void that is being fought over by his rivals, and the collateral damage to people and property in general has been horrific.
“El Mencho” died shortly after being taken into custody by Mexican forces in Tapalpa, Talisco. The cartel kingpin was seriously injured in a firefight between military commandos and his bodyguards. He succumbed to his injuries en route to Mexico City. His son-in-law also died.

The cartel declares war on the Mexican government
As word of the cartel leader’s death spread, members of the group actively declared war on the Mexican government of socialist Claudia Sheinbaum by shutting down Jalisco’s state capital, Guadalajara. It is Mexico’s second-largest city. Running gun battles with authorities erupted. Banks, gas stations, vehicles, and stores were set on fire – some with people still inside. Shootings, carjackings, and blockades were everywhere.
In Puerto Vallarta, just south of the border, US citizens were issued a stay-in-place order. Narco gangs unleashed their bloody rampage on the resort town, turning a vacation hotspot into a third-world hellish nightmare.
Videos can be seen of vacationers panicking as they tried to flee the country amid the violence. Unfortunately for them, many flights were cancelled, and the airports were basically shut down. It’s being reported that those who were flying people out were gouging them horrifically. In response, the US told its citizens to hunker down and shelter in place.
Sheinbaum begged for peace on Monday via the media to little effect.
“The most important thing right now is to guarantee peace and security for the entire population of all of Mexico,” she said at a press conference.
“Today, there is already more calm, and there is government, there are armed forces, there is a security cabinet, and there is a lot of coordination,” Sheinbaum lied, looking to reassure the country.
“Peace, security, and normalcy are being maintained in the country,” she claimed.
Mexico’s top security official, Omar Garcia Harfuc,h thanked the US for its assistance in the operation that killed “El Mencho,” while commenting that the US helped take him out. The operation against “El Mencho” was based on intelligence that included tracking down the cartel boss’s mistress in an attempt to locate him.
The US provided intelligence
The White House admitted that it provided intelligence for the operation. The CJNG was designated as a terrorist organization by President Trump last February.
“‘El Mencho’ was a top target for the Mexican and United States government [sic] as one of the top traffickers of fentanyl into our homeland. Last year, President Trump rightfully designated the Jalisco New Generation Cartel as a Foreign Terrorist Organization — because that’s exactly what it is,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.
“President Trump has been very clear — the United States will ensure narcoterrorists sending deadly drugs to our homeland are forced to face the wrath of justice they have long deserved,” added Leavitt.
Mexican officials were also quick to make statements to the media over the cartel leader’s death.
“We also benefited from US institutions and intelligence agencies, and this allowed us to dismantle the information networks of El Mencho and to proceed with the arrest operation,” General Ricardo Trevilla Trejo told the media Monday.
It should be noted that Breitbart reported that he was rumored to be close friends with the cartel leader. It is said that Sheinbaum did not tell him that the attack was going to take place.
“As you know, the intelligence process is very complex. It requires a lot of time. One has to gather a lot of clues and information from various different sources,” he continued.
Mexico has “been in very close contact with the US Armed Forces Well in this area,” Trejo noted.
Total war could be triggered
According to the New York Post, who spoke with security expert David Saucedo, the death of “El Mencho” could trigger a “total war against the Mexican state.”
“This didn’t seem to be just an operation to capture ‘El Mencho,’ but to exterminate him, to use lethal force to bring him down,” Saucedo told CNN in an interview.
“In the criminal underworld, such actions are not simply overlooked. The reaction is what we’re seeing now: narco-terrorism, blockades, and fires in grocery stores across Mexico,” he pointed out.

In addition to trafficking deadly drugs, the savage and allegedly cannibalistic CJNG developed a reputation for murdering Mexican police and rival drug traffickers. The cartel was also allegedly involved in several assassination attempts against Mexican government officials.
The paramilitary group uses IEDs and drones, as well.
It is now believed that at least 30 have died as a result of the violence. According to Breitbart, that includes 25 Mexican National Guardsmen, one prison guard, and an innocent woman who died in a series of terror-style attacks. That is surely a very, very lowball estimate at this point.
The Trump administration commended the Mexican military on a job well done after “El Mencho” was dispatched to Hell.
Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau said that the taking out of “one of the bloodiest and most ruthless drug kingpins” is a “great development for Mexico, the US, Latin America, and the world.”
“The good guys are stronger than the bad guys,” Landau added.
