Edwin Wagensveld, the fearless leader of PEGIDA, once again risked his life and liberty to expose the growing Islamisation of Europe. With court approval in hand, he carried out a Quran burning in front of a refugee shelter in Hoofddorp. The protest lasted less than ten minutes—yet it unleashed hours of violent rioting that proved his warnings correct.
A Lawful Protest, A Court’s Protection
Earlier that day, Dutch authorities tried to stop Wagensveld’s demonstration. But a judge ruled in his favor, explicitly permitting the Quran burning. Armed only with a banner and a match, Edwin emerged from a black car outside the hotel-turned migrant residence, burned the Quran, gave brief remarks to the press, and drove away.
Peaceful. Legal. Protected.
Mobs Unleashed After Ten Minutes
But the peace ended there. Around 7:30 p.m., ANTIFA agitators and migrant counter-protesters ignited chaos. Stones and fireworks were thrown directly at PEGIDA demonstrators. Dutch media claimed some stones also struck the asylum seeker building itself.
The violence escalated as rioters ripped down sign poles, fences, and anything they could pry loose—using them as weapons against police. Even steel pipes and building materials from a nearby construction site were hurled at officers.
Police vans poured in, charging to contain the unrest. Six arrests were made, mostly for disturbing public order.
English Chants in a Dutch Street
One of the most striking details: much of the chanting from the so-called “anti-racism” crowd was in English—not Dutch. In the heart of the Netherlands, at a riot sparked by a Dutchman’s lawful protest, the slogans echoed like they had been scripted for an international stage.

Edwin Exposes the Reality
Edwin’s action lasted less than ten minutes. The migrant and ANTIFA violence raged for hours. That is the story.
The Quran burning did not endanger anyone. But the mob response endangered police, shattered public order, and confirmed what Wagensveld has been warning about for years: the Islamisation of Europe is enforced not by peaceful persuasion, but by violence and intimidation.
The Line Has Been Drawn
The Hoofddorp riot is not an isolated event. It is a test case for Europe’s future. When one man, lawfully exercising free speech, can spark such a violent backlash, the question becomes unavoidable: Will Europe stand with Edwin Wagensveld, or will it surrender to mob rule?
Edwin’s courage lit more than a Quran on fire—it lit a fire under a continent that must now choose between freedom or submission.
