The new “Summer of Love” is heating up in Seattle following 23 Black Bloc and Antifa members being arrested last Saturday at a Christian rally that turned violent in the deadly CHOP zone when the black-clad leftists showed up. Numerous police officers were injured. Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell (D) defended the communist radicals… of course.
That was the opening act, spurring another Christian protest at City Hall against the mayor, demanding his resignation over religious persecution for blaming evangelicals for the violence the communists ignited.

This time, the FBI is getting involved
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino is not playing that game and is getting ready to lower the boom on the mayor and the Emerald City for persecuting Christians. He has requested an investigation into the “targeted violence” committed against religious groups connected to the protest.
“We have asked our team to fully investigate allegations of targeted violence against religious groups at the Seattle concert. Freedom of religion isn’t a suggestion,” Bongino announced on X.

“Rattle in Seattle”
The Christians’ “Rattle in Seattle” demonstration began at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at City Hall to put the mayor on notice. Counter-protesters also showed up, according to Fox News. When it was all said and done, by 8 p.m., eight radicals were busted for assault during the demonstrations. No injuries were reported.

“Two opposing groups gathered along 4th Avenue. Streets around the dueling demonstrations were shut down for several hours, but reopened just before 8 p.m.,” police noted in a press release.
The Post Millennial reported:
The 5 pm rally, headed by Pastor Russell Johnson of Pursuit church, was the largest pro-Christian rally at Seattle City Hall in history, according to officials. The group rejoiced in song and dance, and came with a message: Christians will not be intimidated into silence, particularly by city leaders.
The first violent assault at the rally occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. when a number of pro-trans activists physically accosted journalist Jonathan Choe, who defended himself. Two people were arrested for that incident.

The streets were closed outside City Hall, and barriers were put up. Individuals, however, were targeted as they arrived at the rally. A menacing group encircled a young mother holding her baby, which ignited a large police response and ended in another arrest.

The violent crowd also targeted the police themselves, who retreated.

Another incident occurred when a man who had detransitioned was mobbed, robbed, and assaulted by Antifa members who hid behind masks and facial coverings. He was assaulted for being anti-trans. There is a video showing him being surrounded and attacked.

Other journalists were threatened and harassed as well.

Unsurprisingly, no Christians were arrested.

The initial protest took place on Saturday at Cal Anderson Park during Mayday USA’s “Don’t Mess With Our Kids” rally. There was a pro-LGBTQ counter-protest that took place as well.
The leftist mayor sides with the violent communists
The Democratic mayor of Seattle, Bruce Harrell, immediately released a statement blaming the Christian rally and infiltrating “anarchists” for the violence that ensued.
“Seattle is proud of our reputation as a welcoming, inclusive city for LGBTQ+ communities, and we stand with our trans neighbors when they face bigotry and injustice,” the mayor spewed, continuing with lies and incitement. “Today’s far-right rally was held here for this very reason – to provoke a reaction by promoting beliefs that are inherently opposed to our city’s values, in the heart of Seattle’s most prominent LGBTQ+ neighborhood.”
“Anarchists infiltrated the counter-protestors group and inspired violence, prompting SPD to make arrests and ask organizers to shut down the event early, which they did,” he added.

Then the mayor cherry-picked Christian and Jewish leaders to get them to side with him and release their own statements on Tuesday condemning the “Rattle in Seattle” protest. It’s enough to make Judas proud.
“Mayday’s desire is to wrap their personal hate, fear, and bigotry in Christian speak. It won’t work,” Rev. Dr. Patricia L. Hunter, a “progressive” Baptist pastor, claimed in a statement. “The call of Jesus to his followers was to first love God and secondly to love our neighbors. In no way does the ideology or bad theology of this fringe group embody the love of God we are to exhibit. Those of us who actually follow the Jesus of the New Testament work to make the welcome tent bigger so that all God’s children, regardless of sexuality or sexual identity, are welcome at the table of love, justice, grace, and mercy.”
Ah… selective Christianity that really isn’t Christianity at all. Notice how she dissed the Old Testament because it does not fit her narrative.
Religious bigotry and hatred of Christians on full display
The organizers of the protest correctly branded the mayor’s statement as religious bigotry and an attack on their First Amendment rights.
“Following the Mayday USA worship event at Cal Anderson Park on Saturday, Mayor Harrell had the audacity to issue a press release blaming Christians for the premeditated violence of Antifa, which resulted in the hospitalization of Seattle Police Department personnel and the arrest of 23 Antifa agitators,” the organizers charged in their statement. “Under Mayor Harrell’s leadership, the city of Seattle has continued its spiral into lawlessness and dysfunction while the First Amendment rights of citizens to peacefully assemble has been disregarded.”
That statement is exactly right, and anyone with two functioning brain cells would agree. But then again, it is Seattle that is simply teaming with communists and radicals.
Police are warning about another “Summer of Love”
The Post Millennial further reported:
Seattle is facing another public safety reckoning, and the city’s police officers are sounding the alarm. In a blistering interview on The Ari Hoffman Show on Talk Radio 570 KVI, Seattle Police Officers Guild (SPOG) President Mike Solan took direct aim at Mayor Bruce Harrell, accusing him of putting officers in harm’s way by siding with radical activists over his police force.

Seattle police are severely understaffed. They only have about 850 officers available for emergency responses across the city. Of that number, about 280 are eligible for retirement. Police officials fear another mass exodus like the one after the 2020 George Floyd riots.
It’s shaping up to be a long, hot, violent summer.
