Dallas, Texas — At a panel hosted by the Center for Security Policy in 2018, national security consultant and undercover investigator Chris Gaubatz issued a sobering warning: America is under siege, not by tanks or missiles, but by a sophisticated, well-funded, and deeply entrenched campaign of ideological subversion.
“I learned about Islam from Islamic scholars,” Gaubatz told the audience. “Not from critics, not from pundits, but from the imams themselves. I sat in their mosques. I read their books. I lived among them, undercover, for six straight months.”
This wasn’t a theoretical exercise. Gaubatz went undercover with the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a group the FBI once identified as part of a wider Muslim Brotherhood network in the United States—and named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terror financing trial in American history: the Holy Land Foundation trial.
From this experience, Gaubatz didn’t emerge with a vague impression of Islam as a “religion of peace.” He came away with a hard-edged, legally grounded understanding of jihad, based solely on Islamic source material. “Jihad,” he emphasized, “is legally defined in Sharia as warfare against non-Muslims. Period. That is the doctrine. That is the law.”
Yet across America, from classrooms to Congress, that truth is being buried.
The Real Threat Isn’t Bombs—It’s Ideas
Gaubatz minced no words. While the media focuses on the aftermath of terrorist attacks—Orlando, San Bernardino, Fort Hood, and 9/11—he stressed that the most dangerous form of jihad isn’t kinetic. “The enemy knows they will never win this war through bullets or bombs. They will win it in the information space—through education, legislation, media, and self-censorship.”
He pointed to schools teaching children that “Islam means peace,” law enforcement agencies relying on CAIR for sensitivity training, and government offices infiltrated by Muslim Brotherhood interns shaping foreign policy. “This is how civilization jihad works. It’s not about blowing things up. It’s about making us surrender without a fight.”
Even Al-Qaeda understands this. “We are in an information war. This is a war in the media,” former al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri once declared. That insight, Gaubatz said, is shared by so-called “moderate” Islamic groups in the U.S., like CAIR—whose polished public relations mask the same objectives as more overt jihadi movements.
“They are suit-wearing jihadis,” Gaubatz said. “They won’t scream ‘death to America.’ They’ll charm you. They’ll smile. But their endgame is the same: to impose Sharia on Western civilization, and they’re doing it one institution at a time.”
America Is Imposing Sharia On Itself
The most chilling part of Gaubatz’s presentation wasn’t what jihadis do—it’s what Americans are doing to themselves. “Ask yourself: have you ever stopped short of saying something about Islam, jihad, or Sharia because you were worried it might hurt your business, your relationships, your career?”
That hesitation is Sharia compliance, he warned. “Self-censorship is how we impose Islamic blasphemy laws without a single shot being fired. It’s how we surrender inch by inch.”
He recounted stories from across the U.S.:
- A California school yearbook featuring a two-page spread titled “Allahu Akbar,” a phrase screamed by jihadists before slaughtering innocents, while excluding Christian and Jewish content.
- A San Diego school district is implementing a CAIR-run “anti-bullying” curriculum, not to protect all students, but to prioritize Muslim sensitivities over others.
- Police departments are declining training on jihadist ideology out of fear of being labeled “Islamophobic” by groups like CAIR.
- Libraries and city councils are welcoming “interfaith outreach” that disguises dawa (Islamic proselytization) under the banner of diversity.
“This is how civilization jihad advances,” Gaubatz said. “By getting us to fight ourselves, by making Americans enforce Islamic blasphemy codes on their own neighbors, kids, and police.”
The Jihad is Total—And It’s Happening Here
Gaubatz warned that jihad, as defined by Sharia, is total warfare—not just militarily, but legally, politically, economically, and culturally. “It’s not just ISIS and al-Qaeda. It’s the Muslim Brotherhood, the Taliban, Boko Haram, Al-Shabaab—all operating from the same doctrine: Sharia law.”
Even more disturbing, he explained, is the role of Marxist movements in paving the way. “Jihadis didn’t get this far on their own. The Marxist infiltration of our institutions, education, media, and government laid the groundwork. Now they’re working together.”
To those who believe “it can’t happen here,” Gaubatz had a blunt rebuttal: “It is happening here. If you think Europe is gone, don’t think for a second America isn’t on the same path.”
This War Will Be Won or Lost Locally
While President Trump has taken steps to counter Islamic extremism, Gaubatz emphasized that the real battle must happen at the grassroots. “We cannot rely on Washington. This war will be won or lost county by county, state by state.”
His call to action was clear:
“If you’re a parent, speak up at your school board.
If you’re a police officer, demand real training.
If you’re a lawmaker, stop hiring interns from CAIR.
If you’re a citizen, stop being afraid to tell the truth.”
“I Didn’t Learn This from Critics. I Learned It from the Source.”
What makes Gaubatz’s testimony so damning is its authenticity. “Everything I’ve said today comes from Islamic scholars, imams, and primary texts. This isn’t speculation. This is doctrine.”
As someone who infiltrated the enemy’s ranks, studied their writings, and continues to train those on the frontlines, Gaubatz offers more than just warnings—he brings proof.
His final message rang like a challenge:
“We don’t need to guess their strategy. We just need to listen to them—and take them seriously. If we don’t, the republic will fall—not to bombs, but to silence.”
