“A Dirty Dandy” – Ilhan Omar’s Fashionable Alleged Brother and Second Husband Emerges Online (PHOTOS)
The elusive second husband and alleged brother of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has finally emerged online.
On Thursday, The New York Post discovered the Instagram account of 40-year-old Ahmed Elmi, a one-time refugee who was married to Omar from 2009 to 2017 in a marriage viewed by many, including President Trump, as fraudulent. He currently resides in South Africa.
For years, Trump and his fellow conservatives have claimed Omar and Elmi are actually sister and brother. The marriage was supposedly consummated to help Elmi obtain American citizenship.
Elmi’s Instagram is filled with pictures of him in fashionable clothing and surrounded by men in high-end cafes. In his profile, he refers to himself as “a dirty dandy.”
He also appears to have an interest in travelling. In one post, he wrote, “So far, so fab…a month in JoBurg.”

The Post reports that Elmi has studied at Bristol University in the UK, where he received his doctorate and then became a research assistant at the university’s School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies.
His areas of study are some of the most woke fields imaginable, including: “critically queer,” “decolonization,” “gender research group,” and “center for black humanities.”
This newly revealed information about Omar’s second husband will likely do little to alleviate the allegations that the marriage was an outright scam. Team Trump is actively investigating.
As The Gateway Pundit’s Kristinn Taylor notes, Trump administration Border Czar Tom Homan said in an interview Monday night on Newsmax that he had asked for the immigration records of Omar to be pulled for his review over credible allegations that the Somali refugee married her brother to help him gain residency in the United States.
Trump brought up the allegation against Omar while speaking to reporters in the Oval Office last week and ripped into her marriage to Elmi during a rally on Tuesday evening.
“Ilhan Omar, whatever the h*ll her name is. With her little turban. I love her. She comes in, does nothing but b*tch,” Trump said.
“We ought to get her the h*ll out! She married her brother to get in!” Trump added. “Therefore, she’s here illegally. Throw her the h*ll out!”
The Gateway Pundit was the first to report on Omar’s alleged marriage to her brother.
In 2017, Rep. Omar swore under penalty of perjury while divorcing her husband (brother?) that she hadn’t seen Ahmed N. Elmi since 2011 and didn’t know anyone who could help her contact him.
But evidence emerged in September 2019 that Rep. Ilhan Omar may have indeed married her brother, and that her real name may be Ilhan Nur Said.
A resurfaced tweet from 2013 links to a now-deleted Instagram post in which she refers to her father by the name Nur Said.
The tweet was later deleted after the news broke, but it was saved before it was deleted.
